The star Ahmed Fahmy and his wife, the singer Amira Farag, narrated the story of their acquaintance and relationship, which began at the Egyptian Opera House and continued after each of them took their own artistic path.
Ahmed Fahmy said during their hosting of the “Her Excellency” program, presented by the artist Esaad Younes on the DMC channel: “I met her at the opera. She used to sing in the children’s choir.”

Amira Farraj added: “I was in Maestro Salim Sahab’s band when I was 17 years old, and we met during rehearsals for a concert on the occasion of the October celebrations. I was in the choir and he was playing with the orchestra, and every time he prayed.”
She continued: “After the third day, he came out to see me outside the rehearsal, and I said enough to chase three times, and it was very difficult for me, and he invited me to perform the Nutcracker ballet.”

Amira Farraj spoke about the reason why she stopped singing for a while, saying: “We got engaged for 4 years and then we got married and I left Omar Altoul behind, and my mother died before she knew that I was pregnant, and there was nothing on my mind other than raising the child, and Omar took all my time, so I stopped singing and worked on my studies in media and reporter etiquette. When I had time, I went back to singing.”

In response to a question about why some people believe that his wife stopped singing based on his wish, Ahmed Fahmy said: “People misunderstood. Amira seriously was busy with Omar, and I am her husband and naturally I cheat on her.”
It is noteworthy that Ahmed Fahmy is waiting for his latest television work, the series “Noqta Souda”, to be shown on the Shahid platform and MBC Egypt channel.
