We hear about great people who entered history with their works, historians whose writings and studies were immortalized over time, sculptors and painters whose works were displayed in the most eminent museums, and artists whose songs generations sing, but have you ever heard of a person who became the event that will be immortalized over the days and years? Have you ever seen someone raise the name of his country internationally and make it rise from the rubble? Have you known a person who breathed the spirit of hope into the soul of an entire people living under aggression and bombing?
Our pride in him as Lebanese is immeasurable, as he is the one who started his career and carved it himself and was able to reach the international level and compete with fashion designers who received a lot of support during their career, and today he has become a role model for the Lebanese, and indeed for all people, whether they love fashion or not.

An exceptional, dreamy, imaginative event based on the tales of One Thousand and One Nights, entitled The 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab, within the Riyadh Season in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, sponsored by the Chairman of the Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom, Counselor Turki Al-Sheikh Arab, this event was announced many months ago.
The event was also attended by stars from around the world, led by the artist Celine Dion, the artist Jennifer Lopez, the model and actress Monica Bellucci, the artist Camila Cabello, the actress Halle Berry, the actress Handa Archil and others… in addition to our stars who added a special elegance to the event, including the artist Yousra, the artist Amr Diab, actress Elissa, actress Nancy Ajram, actress Sulafa Meamar, actress Cyrine Abdel Nour, actress Dora, actress Amina Khalil, actress Daniela Rahma, actress Razan Gamal, and others.
An imaginative fashion show in which Elie Saab outperformed the most eminent international fashion shows, including the “Victoria’s Secret” show. It was opened by the international star Jennifer Lopez, who presented her most eminent works, including “On the Floor” as part of international dance paintings that were not at all lower than the performances she presented at the “Super Bowl” and in World Cup at a time when fashion models began to enter to display the designs that Saab had designed specifically for this event.
The choice of models was no less significant, as Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Stella McCossell, and Helena Christensen were present to display Saab’s dresses, knowing that they are among the most eminent and highest paid in the world.
On the other hand, the artist Amr Diab rose to perform his most eminent song, including “My Love, Nour El Ain,” which was chanted by the audience and interacted with by international stars before the Arabs. As for the Lebanese artist Nancy Ajram, her participation had a special impact through the song “Hasa Bey”, which brought us into the atmosphere of love and passion for this show, and the song “Tajy Nenbasat”, which ignited the atmosphere. The international Latin artist Camila Cabello gave an exceptional performance similar to what she gives in her special performances, especially when she sang her song “Senorita” before the closing ceremony was held with the international Celine Dion, who sang for the first time in front of the audience since her performance at the Olympics, adding a special magic to this night with her angelic voice, especially with the song “The “power of love,” which caused some of the attendees to shed tears of emotion.
The presence of international actress Halle Berry on stage was a wonderful addition, as she wore the dress that she previously appeared in at the Oscars in 2002, designed by Elie Saab, when she won the Oscar and became the first African-American actress to receive it. She brought tears to her eyes when she remembered this historic moment in her career, which brought back… It’s arduous to bring her to life in this show.
In terms of dresses and designs, Elie Saab combined 45 years of experience, passion, creativity, taste and sophistication into a magical mixture. Every time a model appeared, it brightened the eyes of those present in the hall, who were glued to the television screen around the world. Elie Saab cannot write about his dreamy designs or his creativity, because words do not do him justice and will not be able to express the truth of what we saw.
Despite all this success, Elie Saab does not forget his country and always strives to put a touch of it in every work he does. The decorations that dazzled the audience were designed by the Lebanese Gilbert Haddad and supervised by a work team, most of which were Lebanese. His insistence on giving value to Lebanese and Arab stars just like international stars was clear from the way he His dealings with them and the organized selection of their seats, in addition to choosing Nancy Ajram so that her show would be no less significant than that of Jennifer Lopez and Celine Dion, while respecting the experience of the latter two.
Elie Saab is a role model and a true symbol of artistic creativity, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is grateful for its support and appreciation for the talent of the Lebanese in general and for the art of Elie Saab in particular. He combined a tear of loss for Al-Hadaa and a tear of pride in him to remind us that no matter how arduous the circumstances are, we must rise up because we are a people worthy of life. Art, joy and creativity!
