Critic Nahed Salah, the artistic director of the festival, said that the Fayoum Festival is celebrating Palestine in a special way during its first session, by choosing it as the guest of honor for the first session, and in this context, a full day is organized that includes a group of different activities in the presence of a number of leaders of the Palestinian embassy and a number of stars and filmmakers. .
Nahid Salah added that the festival has set November 28 to be Palestinian Day, which begins with an opening attended by Naji Al-Naji, the cultural advisor to the Palestinian Embassy in Cairo, during which the festival’s guests and followers will witness a bazaar of Palestinian products, a display of Palestinian heritage artifacts, in addition to a Palestinian fashion show of modern designs inspired by heritage. It is noteworthy that the Fayoum Film Festival for environmental films and contemporary arts is organized by the Masar Foundation for Culture and Arts, and is held under the patronage of Fayoum Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of the Region, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Environment, Fayoum University, the National Cinema Center, the Tourism Promotion Authority, and Red Star Company.
