“Have you had any thoughts of harming yourself or others?” Lionsgate has revealed an official trailer for a crime thriller called Like Father Like Son, made by the workout maven Barry Jay (the creator of Barry’s Bootcamp). Not to be confused with the wonderful Japanese film also titled Like Father, Like Son (directed by Hirokazu Koreeda) from 2013 – this is entirely different. Eli is a newborn man whose father waits on death row for the crime of murder in the first degree. As Eli’s life begins to fall apart, he discovers similar violent tendencies in himself and takes drastic steps to break the family’s cycle of brutality and ensure the string of savagery comes to an end. Starring Dylan Flashner, Ariel Winter, Vivica A. Fox, Jim Klock, Prima Apollinaare, Eric Michael Cole, Mayim Bialik, Dermot Mulroney. Another of these strange dime-a-dozen extremely generic thrillers that no one will end up watching anyway. Move along, nothing to see here.
