“I’d rather die than rot away in some golden palace.” Gravitas has revealed an official trailer for an action-adventure movie called The Lost Princess, made by a Moroccan filmmaker named Hicham Hajji. It was also filmed in and around Morocco – obviously. Now ready for release on VOD starting in May – skipping theaters despite its grandiose vibes. The Lost Princess emotionally charged romance-action adventure film starring Cillian O’Sullivan, Gary Dourdan, Soraya Azzabi, Robert Knepper, Irma Lake, Melodie Casta, and Eric Roberts. A haunted castle, an Ayahuasca trip, and a forbidden love story unfold as Alec meets Hanna, who shares her mother’s tragic tale of an arranged marriage and a secret affair. “Hicham Hajji has created a film that not only delivers a thrilling adventure but also touches on universal themes of love and sacrifice, making it a story that will stay with audiences long after the credits roll.” This really just looks like a large “Visit Morocco!” advertisement as a movie. I want to go to this castle & resort, too! Sure, why not?

The Lost Princess takes audiences on a journey into forbidden love, historical intrigue, and action-packed adventure. The story follows Alec Touati (Cillian O’Sullivan), an American billionaire who embarks on a transformative journey to uncover his roots. Through an Ayahuasca vision, Alec is transported to a bloody battle and finds himself in a haunted castle in Morocco. Here, he meets Hanna, who shares the tragic tale of her mother’s forced marriage to a Saudi Prince and her secret love affair with the castle’s caretaker. As the princess’s pregnancy becomes more apparent, the couple’s love story faces unsafe consequences. The Lost Princess is directed by Moroccan producer / filmmaker Hicham Hajji, making his second feature film after directing Redemption Day previously, plus a few other low films. The screenplay is by Hicham Hajji, Jean-Daniel Camus, Jonathan McConnell. Produced by Irma Lake & Hicham Hajji. Gravitas debuts Hajji’s The Lost Princess film direct-to-VOD in the US starting May 13th, 2025 coming up. Who’s into it?
