“What is this place and why does everyone look like an Easter egg?” Netflix has revealed an official trailer for their up-to-date series titled Sirens, ready for streaming later in May this summer season. Sirens is the next creation from the same creator of the hit series “Maid” also on Netflix just a few years ago. The latest from Molly Smith Metzler’s innovative partnership with Netflix, based on her play “Elemeno Pea.” Devon thinks her sister Simone has a really creepy relationship with her up-to-date boss – the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell. Her cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon decides it’s time for an intervention. When Devon tracks her sister down to say WTF, she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. Told over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells’ lavish beach estate. The series stars Julianne Moore as Michaela Kell, Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock, Kevin Bacon, Glenn Howerton, Bill Camp, and Felix Solis. Oh she’s definitely the monster we all think she is, that’s for sure. We’ll just have to watch the entire series to find out the ugly truth behind this luxurious place. Sirens is a series written and showrun by acclaimed writer Molly Smith Metzler (creator of “Maid”, also a writer on “Shameless”, “Casual”, “Orange is the New Black”) also with the company Quiet Coyote. It’s based on her own play “Elemeno Pea”, which she wrote at The Juilliard School. With episodes directed by Nicole Kassell and other directors. Executive produced by Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley, Margot Robbie for LuckyChap; Colin McKenna, and Molly Smith Metzler.
