Amber Heard Announces Birth of Twins on Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day 2025 was extra special for Amber Heard, who announced that she is now a mom of three with the arrival of newborn twins. “This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years,” she wrote in an Instagram post on Sunday. The two novel additions to “the Heard gang” are her daughter, Agnes, and her son, Ocean. Heard welcomed her first daughter, Oonagh Paige, via surrogate in 2021.

Alongside a picture of three pairs of feet, Heard wrote, “Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life. I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully. To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you.”

When Heard shared the birth of her first child, the Aquaman actor also wrote about embracing motherhood as a single woman. “I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” Heard wrote in July 2021. “I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.” She also called Oonagh’s arrival “the beginning of the rest of my life.”

Heard’s now-complete family currently resides in Madrid, where she moved after the highly publicized legal battles with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, according to People. The actor, who was also previously involved with billionaire Elon Musk, told Today’s Savannah Guthrie in June 2022 that she was eager to focus on being a mother. “I get to be a mom, like full-time, you know?” said Heard. “Where I’m not having to juggle calls with lawyers.”
