The third instalment of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune series for Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment has begun production in Hungary, according to the Hungarian National Film Office.

Based on the novels by Frank Herbert, Dune: Part Three sees Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya reprising their roles as Paul Atreides and Chani respectively.

Jason Momoa returns as Duncan Idaho after his absence in Dune: Part Two. Further cast includes Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, Momoa’s son, and Ida Brooke as Paul and Chani’s twin children, Leto II and Ghanima.

Budapest-based Pioneer Stillking is providing local services, with production said to be taking place at Origo Studios where both Dune: Part One and Dune: Part Two both were filmed. Epic Films provided production services in UAE.

Filming on the previous films also took place on location in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

Villeneuve is also set to direct the next James Bond film, the first since Amazon MGM Studios took original control of the franchise.
