Deadly Haunted Maze Indie Horror Film ‘The Haunted Forest’ Trailer

Or at least, let’s hope so.” Crazy Lake Pictures has revealed the first official trailer for the indie horror film The Haunted Forest, made by filmmaker Keith Boynton. This is premiering later this month at FrightFest 2025 in the UK, hence the trailer debuting now, despite now final release date yet. Scare mazes are all fun and games until people start dying for real. When Zach, a high-school senior obsessed with all things horror and Halloween, goes to work at his cousin’s famed haunted forest horror attraction called “The Haunted Forest”,​ a series of strange killings begin, and he finds himself questioning his fascination with death and devotion to the macabre. The filmmakers partnered with Markoff’s Haunted Forest to shoot this brand novel indie horror film right on the grounds of the longest scare trail in America. Shot in Dickerson, Maryland. Starring Grayson Gwaze, Cedric Gegel, Kaitlyn Lunardi, and Meghan Reed. Great trailer! Looks like this should be scary good.

Zach (starring Grayson Gwaze) is a horror-movie obsessive who’d rather draw gruesome comic books in class than concentrate on his studies – so when his cousin Mark (Cedric Gegel) invites him to work at the legendary “Haunted Forest”, Zach is thrilled beyond belief. On his first night, he meets Sarah, a handsome and intriguing makeup artist, as well as Jacko, a veteran employee who takes Zach under his wing. Zach is living his best life there, indulging his passion for all things morbid – but when Jacko is found dead, the magical world of the Forest begins to seem sinister, and Zach can’t lend a hand but wonder where the killer will strike next… The Haunted Forest is written and directed by indie filmmaker Keith Boynton, director of the films Chasing Home, Seven Lovers, The Scottish Play, and The Winter House previously. Produced by Cassie D’Agostino and Mashka Wolfe. This is premiering at the FrightFest 2025 horror festival in London this month. No other release dates are set – stay tuned for updates.
