Marimba player Nesma Abdel Aziz performed a concert as part of the opening activities of the 32nd Citadel Festival for Music and Singing. The concert included a group of Arabic and Western works that were redistributed to suit the marimba, including Karkshingi, Enta Omri, 3 Daqat, Helwa El Makan, Sahar El Layali, Haramt Ahebek, El Yom El Helwa Dah, and Shankloh.

The artist, Nesma Abdel Aziz, expressed her great happiness at being honored at the opening ceremony of the festival and dedicated the honor to her mother. She also thanked the head of the Opera House, Dr. Lamia Zayed, Dr. Ahmed Hano, Minister of Culture, and all those in charge of the festival.

The program of the Al-Mahki Theater events at the 32nd Saladin Citadel Festival for Music and Singing includes performances by: artist Nesma Abdel Aziz and her band, artist Carmen Soliman and her band, the Arabic Music Band in collaboration with the Talent Development Center, an Arabic Music Night (Warda’s Songs) led by: Alaa Abdel Salam, Black Thema Band, artist Louay and his band, artist Amr Selim and his band, artist Hamza Namira and his band, Glass Onion Band, artist Hesham Abbas and his band, Sufism and Modernity – musician Fathy Salama and Sheikh Mahmoud Al-Tahami, artist Dina Al-Wedidi and her band, artist Nadia Mustafa and her band, artist Ali Al-Haggar accompanied by the musical band led by Ahmed Farag, a Sufi night with the stars of the religious chanting band, artist Ehab Tawfik and his band, an Arabic Music Night (Abdel Halim’s Songs) with the participation of artist Iman Abdel Ghani led by Mustafa Helmy.

The events of the Al-Mahka Theater also include the artist Hany Shaker accompanied by the musical band led by: Mustafa Helmy, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra (international songs), the artist Nesma Mahgoub and her band, the artist Samar Tariq and her band, the artist Mustafa Hagag and his band, the Mawawil band, Sheikh Yassin Al-Tihami and his band, the artist Saad Al-Oud and his band, the artist Medhat Saleh accompanied by the artist Amr Selim and the musical band led by Ahmed Amer, the Talent Development Center at the Opera House, the artist Omar Khairat accompanied by the Cairo Opera Orchestra, in addition to several international artistic performances in cooperation with the External Cultural Relations Sector.

The festival represents a unique opportunity for music and singing lovers to enjoy a diverse range of arts, contributing to the enhancement of the Egyptian cultural and artistic movement, and attracting tourists and visitors from all over the world.
