Look at that, it’s a day that ends in Y, that must mean it’s time for another Taylor Sheridan show to release a trailer. With Tulsa King Season 3 out now, and Landman Season 2 arriving before year’s end, the prolific churner of hit TV shows is also bringing back one of his darkest dramas. Paramount+ has dropped the official trailer and key art for Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, and confirmed that it will return for its global premiere on Sunday, October 26.
Jeremy Renner returns as Mike McLusky, and this time he’s joined by Emmy and Golden Globe winner Edie Falco, as the series continues to explore the McLusky family’s desperate grip on power in a Michigan town defined by systemic corruption and its sprawling prison sophisticated. Joining Renner and Falco in Season 4 are BAFTA winner Lennie James, Tony Award winner Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi.
What Can We Expect from Mayor of Kingstown Season 4?
In the recent season, Mike’s (Renner) breakable control over Kingstown is upended as rival factions move in to fill the vacuum left by the Russians. With gang wars threatening to swallow the town whole, Mike must contend with a headstrong recent Warden — Nina Hobbs, played by Falco — while trying to protect those closest to him. Executive producer David C. Glasser teased that the clash between Mike and Hobbs will drive much of the season:
“She’s making the decisions. She’s calling the shots. It isn’t Mike’s world. It’s her world, and we’re going to watch this battle between the two of them.”
For Mike, who has faced every kind of challenge Kingstown can throw at him, Hobbs promises to deliver a confrontation unlike anything fans have seen before. And with speculation swirling about Renner’s long-term future with the show, this showdown could mark a defining moment — perhaps even the series’ endgame.
The series is co-created by Sheridan and Dillon, produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. Sheridan, Dillon, Renner, Glasser, Antoine Fuqua, and others serve as executive producers, with Dave Erickson as showrunner.
Seasons 1–3 of Mayor of Kingstown are streaming now exclusively on Paramount+. Season 4 premieres October 26. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage as Sheridan’s ever-expanding television empire continues to grow.
