Callum Turner, Adria Arjona and Amir El-Masry will lead the cast of Alone Together, from Limbo director Ben Sharrock.
Written by Sharrock, it will shoot in the desert in Oman in March 2026. HanWay Films will launch international sales on the title at next month’s American Film Market (AFM, November 11-16).
The film will follow two strangers – played by Turner and Arjona – whose lives collide during a sporadic storm in a desert city, sparking a brief but profound connection that leads to a journey of self-discovery.
The film will be produced by The Father and The Son filmmaker Florian Zeller with Federica Sainte-Rose through their France-and US-based Blue Morning Pictures.
HanWay CEO Gabrielle Stewart described Sharrock’s script as “an emotionally rich and universally relatable tale of a man having to re-assess his path in life whilst pulled in so many directions.”
Sharrock’s debut feature Pikadero debuted at San Sebastian in 2015. His second feature Limbo, also starring El-Masry, was in the Official Selection of the pandemic-afflicted 2020 Cannes edition; before screenings at Toronto, London and San Sebastian, and a worldwide release through Universal Pictures, excluding the UK where Mubi released the film.
Limbo received Bafta nominations for best British film and outstanding debut, and won four Bafta Scotland prizes: best film, writer, director and actor.
Turner and El-Masry were named Screen Stars of Tomorrow in 2014 and 2021 respectively.
