Prime Video’s streaming lineup is coming in warm in 2026. Whether you’re here for blood-soaked superhero satire, slow-burn romance that will ruin you for normal relationships, a cat having an existential crisis in Queens, or a certain Dark Lord finally getting that all-powerful jewelry piece, there is something on this list for you. In fact, there are probably several “somethings.”
The streamer has quietly built one of the most eclectic slates in the game, mixing big-swinging franchise finales (The Boys and Rings of Power) with buzzy book adaptations and a couple of wild cards that nobody saw coming. Here are the upcoming Prime Video originals you need to add to your watchlist right now.
‘The Boys’ Season 5 (2019–Present)
It’s Homelander’s (Antony Starr) world, and we’re all just living in it. Or trying to, at least. The fifth and final season of Eric Kripke‘s gloriously unhinged superhero satire picks up with America under the boot of a fascist flying narcissist before Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) resurfaces with a virus designed to wipe every Supe off the face of the planet. With the Boys scattered, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) leading an underground resistance, and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) is thawed out for one last waltz with his daddy issues, the stage is set for what Kripke himself has called “the show’s version of the apocalypse.”
If you’ve spent four seasons watching this show edge closer and closer to the actual news cycle, this final installment feels almost overdue. The bad news? Kripke has promised deaths from the very first episode — nobody has plot armor, nobody is walking out of this pristine. The better news? A Supernatural reunion between Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins is definitely happening, and that’s the kind of fan-service that can distract us from our anticipated grief. How could the swan song for the most effed-up comic book adaptation to ever grace the tiny screen be anything less than the TV event of the year?

Prime Video took one look at the horned-up chaos those boys from Heated Rivalry created and said, “We’ll have what they’re having.” Welcome to Briar University, where the action on the ice takes a backseat to the enemies-to-lovers tension and campus drama happening off of it. Based on Elle Kennedy‘s bestselling book series, Off Campus follows Hannah (Ella Bright), a serene songwriter, and Garrett (Belmont Cameli), the star athlete who absolutely should not be her type, as they navigate the collision course that fans of the novels have been waiting years to see on screen. Think The Summer I Turned Pretty with more padding and locker room peep shows.
This one is tailor-made for BookTok’s most devoted corner of the internet, but it doesn’t take a prior relationship with the source material to get swept up in it. Expect large feelings, complicated friendships, and the particular electricity of two people who are very bad at pretending they don’t like each other.
‘Kevin’ (2026)

Cats have been causing us humans existential crises since the dawn of time, so it’s only fair we turn the tables. Kevin is an animated comedy about a cat caught in the middle of his owners’ split who ends up at a pet rescue in Astoria, Queens. While there, a ragtag crew of misfit animals helps him figure out exactly what he wants in life. It is, loosely, inspired by a real breakup and a real cat, which somehow makes it even more charming.
Don’t let the logline fool you: This isn’t just a show for people who follow too many cat accounts (though those people will love it). It’s a sultry, witty comedy about identity, belonging, and the messiness of human relationships, all filtered through the most sympathetic (and fluffiest) protagonist imaginable. And it’s coming to us courtesy of Aubrey Plaza, so there’s no reason to doubt its comedic potential.

Based on Carley Fortune‘s New York Times bestseller Every Summer After, Every Year After is the summer romance series that’s hoping to fill the hole left by The Summer I Turned Pretty. The show follows Percy (Sadie Soverall) and Sam (Matt Cornett) across six years and one pivotal week in the lakeside town of Barry’s Bay, tracing the arc of first love and the question of whether some people are meant to find their way back to each other.
With Sex and the City and Gossip Girl veteran Amy B. Harris at the helm, this one has the emotional pedigree to actually deliver on the book’s devoted fanbase. Harry Bradbeer — the director behind Fleabag and Killing Eve — is exactly the kind of person you want steering a show this delightfully strange, and with Phil Lord and Christopher Miller producing, the Spider-Verse DNA is very much intact. Lamorne Morris and Brendan Gleeson round out a cast that could make a phone book compelling, but ultimately, this is the show for people who thought Marvel needed more existential dread and cooler hats.
‘Maxton Hall — The World Between Us’ Season 3 (2024–Present)
