“We haven’t been formally introduced…” Meet Kara Zor-El! ????️ Warner Bros & DC have revealed two quick modern TV spots to promote this summer’s Supergirl movie, the follow-up to James Gunn’s Superman last year. Opening in theaters at the end of June soon! Get your tickets & get ready for an emotional adventure. Supergirl is directed by Craig Gillespie (of I, Tonya, Cruella) as seen in this behind-the-scenes featurette as well. When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion. Kara celebrates her 21st birthday by travelling across the galaxy with her dog Krypto. She meets Ruthye Marye Knoll and encounters a tragedy that leads her on a murderous quest for revenge – to find and save her dog, Krypto. Milly Alcock stars as Kara Zor-El, with Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, as well as Jason Momoa as Lobo (who doesn’t appear in either of these). The two TV spots feature a few modern shots to complement to the most recent official trailer earlier this year. This is really looking better and better the more they show as the release date nears. Perhaps this Supergirl movie will actually seriously kick ass? It’s certainly possible…

When an unexpected, ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance & justice. Supergirl is directed by Australian producer / filmmaker Craig Gillespie, director of the movies Mr. Woodcock, Lars and the Real Girl, Fright Night, Million Dollar Arm, The Finest Hours, I Tonya, Cruella, and Dumb Money previously, plus eps of the series “Your Friends & Neighbors” and “The Better Sister” most recently. The screenplay is written by Ana Nogueira. Based on the DC character created by Otto Binder & Al Plastino; based on a comic by Tom King. It’s produced by Peter Safran & James Gunn.
