“They’ve got a spy in the top of the British political system.” MGM+ debuted their own official trailer for a streaming series from the UK titled Secret Service, a stale title for another sneaky series about politicians and spies and the inner workings of the government. Created by iTV, the series already launched in the UK in April (here’s the first trailer). This Secret Service is not so much about a secret security force protecting politicians, but rather a secret intelligence officer inside the UK government. A British intelligence agent races against time to uncover a UK politician’s potential ties with Russia, risking her reputation and family, as a murder and election loom. The head of the Russia Desk of the British Secret Intelligence Service learns a senior British politician could be a compromised mole. What happens next? Starring Gemma Arterton as MI6 officer Kate Henderson, with Rafe Spall, Alexander Terentyev, Roger Allam as C, Avi Nash as Rev, Mark Stanley, Alex Kingston, Amaka Okafor, Khalid Abdalla. There’s not much to this trailer but if the story captures your attention it’s out to watch in the US later this month via MGM+. Have a look.
Here’s the official US trailer (+ poster) for ITV’s thriller series Secret Service, direct from YouTube:
You can rewatch the very first trailer for ITV’s Secret Service series right here for the early look again.
Secret Service is a gripping and timely thriller set against the backdrop of escalating geopolitical tensions. It follows senior MI6 officer Kate Henderson (Gemma Arterton) as she uncovers intelligence suggesting a high-ranking British politician may be operating as a Russian asset. As trust fractures in the corridors of power, Kate is drawn into an increasingly threatening web of deceit, where shifting loyalties and personal stakes collide and exposing the truth could cost her everything. Secret Service is a series directed by British filmmaker James Marsh (of The King, Shadow Dancer, The Theory of Everything, The Mercy, King of Thieves, The Team, Man on Wire, Project Nim). Based on the bestselling novel by Tom Bradby, a novelist & journalist who has presented the ITV News at Ten since 2015. With writing by Jemma Kennedy and Alex Kendall. And other episodes directed by Farren Blackburn. Made by Potboiler Productions & All3Media. Executive produced by Tom Bradby, Andrea Calderwood, Gail Egan, and Chloe Sizer. ITV released Secret Service streaming on ITVX in the UK back in April + it’s on MGM+ in the US on November 22nd, 2026.
