“We’re not meant to share the planet with those things…” Vertical has revealed a first look teaser trailer for an exciting new sci-fi horror film coming this fall called Elevation, which was filmed in Colorado last year. It’s directed by George Nolfi (of The Adjustment Bureau, The Banker) and has a November release date – though no festival premieres yet from any of the genre fests. Set in the post-apocalyptic Rocky Mountains, a single father and two women venture from the safety of their homes to face monstrous creatures to save the life of a young boy. The film stars Anthony Mackie, Morena Baccarin, and Maddie Hasson. This has some big, gnarly monsters in it – the one in this teaser reminds me of the big guy from Bong Joon-ho’s The Host. It amuses me that they shot this at some ski resort in Colorado while closed during the summer. Why not get a post-apocalyptic film crew in there when no one is around? This might be cool. Need more footage.
