“Guys I’m not going to fight ya… I’m here on vacation.” Universal has revealed the first official trailer for Nobody 2, the next substantial action sequel due out this summer – smashing its way into theaters in August. This continuation of the Nobody story from 2021 brings back Bob Odenkirk as the unassuming father who is also a badass assassin. This time it’s being directed by Indonesian action maestro Timo Tjahjanto, known for his films The Night Comes for Us, Headshot, and The Shadow Strays. Sometimes the most perilous place for a dad is a family vacation. Ha ha. Bob Odenkirk returns as the suburban husband, father and workaholic assassin Hutch Mansell in the up-to-date chapter to Nobody, the hit 2021 bare-knuckle action-thriller. In this sequel, Hutch ends up battling a whole bunch of bad guys while on vacation to the tourist town of “Plummerville” with his entire family, including his dad. The cast includes Odenkirk with Connie Nielsen, John Ortiz, RZA, Colin Hanks, plus Christopher Lloyd and Sharon Stone. And tons of stunt men / bad guys / thugs / assassins. This looks bonkers crazy in an awesome way! Going to be a blast – I’m so there.

Here’s the first official trailer (+ poster) for Timo Tjahjanto’s action sequel Nobody 2, from YouTube:

Four years after he inadvertently took on the Russian mob, Hutch (Bob Odenkirk) remains $30 million in debt to the organization and is working it off with an unending string of hits on international thugs. Much as he likes the slam-bang action of his “job,” Hutch and his wife Becca (Connie Nielsen) find themselves overworked and drifting apart. So, they decide to take their kids (Gage Munroe & Paisley Cadorath) on a low getaway to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark, the one and only place where Hutch and his brother Harry (RZA) went on a vacation as kids. With Hutch’s dad (Christopher Lloyd) in tow, the family arrives in the miniature tourist town of Plummerville (“Plummerville is Summerville!”), eager for some fun in the sun. But when a minor encounter with some town bullies yanks the family into the crosshairs of a corrupt theme-park operator (John Ortiz) and his shady sheriff (Colin Hanks), Hutch finds himself the focus of the most unhinged, blood-thirsty crime boss he (or anyone) has ever encountered (Sharon Stone).

“Nobody ruins his vacation.” 👊 Nobody 2 is directed by the acclaimed Indonesian action filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto, director of the movies May the Devil Take You, The Night Comes for Us, The Big 4, Macabre, Killers, Headshot, and The Shadow Strays most recently (and the upcoming The Beekeeper 2 sequel). The screenplay is written by Derek Kolstad and Aaron Rabin; from a story by Derek Kolstad who also created the original. Produced by Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Marc Provissiero, Braden Aftergood, Bob Odenkirk. An 87North/Eighty Two Films/Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment production. Universal opens Nobody 2 in theaters nationwide starting August 15th, 2025 later this summer. Who’s down for this? Looking good?
