“Every town has its heroes and villains… Don’t get caught on the wrong side of that coin.” Easier said than done. Roadside Attractions has unveiled the official trailer for a gritty novel western titled The Unholy Trinity, lead by an impressive cast. Yet another western thriller that most people probably have never heard of before – they keep churning these out. “The past never stays buried.” Pierce Brosnan, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brandon Lessard star in the western epic The Unholy Trinity, riding into theaters in June. Buried secrets of an 1870s Montana town spark violence when a youthful man returns to reclaim his legacy and is caught between a sheriff determined to maintain order and this stranger hell-bent on destroying it. Described as “an exciting blend of action, suspense, and western grit.” The cast includes Veronica Ferres, Gianni Capaldi, Q’orianka Kilcher, David Arquette, Ethan Peck, Tim Daly, Anthony J. Sharpe, Beau Linnell, Isabella Ruby, Stephanie Hernandez, & Eadie Gray. This western only looks as good as it does because Sam Jackson seems like he was having a total blast making it, letting his gloomy side loose.

Richard Gray’s novel film The Unholy Trinity promises to deliver an stimulating blend of action, suspense, and western grit with an all-star ensemble ready to captivate audiences this summer. A tale of revenge, gloomy secrets, and buried treasures, the film is set against the turbulent backdrop of 1870s Montana. Moments before the execution of Isaac Broadway, he gives his estranged son, Henry, an impossible task: Murder the man who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit. Intent on fulfilling his promise, Henry travels to the remote town of Trinity, where an unexpected turn of events traps him in town and leaves him caught between Gabriel Dove, the town’s upstanding novel sheriff, and a mysterious figure named St Christopher. The Unholy Trinity, formerly known as The Salted Earth, is directed by Australian filmmaker Richard Gray, director of the films Summer Coda, Mine Games, Blinder, The Lookalike, Sugar Mountain, Broken Ghost, Robert the Bruce, and Murder at Yellowstone City previously. The screenplay is by Lee Zachariah. Produced by Jeanne Allgood, Kellie Brooks, Colin Floom, Michele Gray & Richard Gray.
