The universe is endless in the final trailer for The Life of Chuck. Filmmaker Mike Flanagan re-teams with legendary author Stephen King for yet another collaboration with plenty of promise. The story at the center of the film allows both creatives to step out of their boxes, leaving horror behind and, instead, leaning into the incredible wonderment of life. With a star-studded cast led by the likes of Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Bridget Jones: Mad About a Boy), and Karen Gillan (the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise), audiences will soon get to feast their eyes on the Certified Fresh film when it opens in select cinemas on June 6, with a wide theatrical release set for June 13.

The life of Hiddleston’s Chuck Krantz plays out in memories and pieces in the final trailer for The Life of Chuck. There’s plenty of dancing, as a adolescent Chuck (Jacob Tremblay) takes lessons, which clearly stick with him into his older age. Meanwhile, a romance sparks between Ejiofor’s Marty Anderson and Gillan’s Felicia Gordon, who sit outside under the night sky and stare up at the stars above.

The Life of Chuck will be told in three parts, starting at the end of the story and working backwards. With this in mind, Flanagan needed a super-sized ensemble to pull off the monumental task of playing characters from 40 years of the main character’s life. In addition to Hiddleston, Ejiofor, Gillan, and Tremblay, the film is also set to feature performances from Matthew Lillard (Scream), Kate Siegel (The Fall of the House of Usher), Mark Hamill (Star Wars), Mia Sara (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off), Annalise Basso (Ouija: Origin of Evil), Samantha Sloyan (Midnight Mass), David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows), Carl Lumbly (Doctor Sleep), and more.

Mike Flanagan and Stephen King’s Next Collaboration

After The Life of Chuck dances onto big-screens over the next two weeks, Flanagan and King will continue to work together on not only one but two projects. The former has long been involved in the latest adaptation of the novelist’s beloved series, The Dark Tower, and is also on deck to bring his breakthrough novel, Carrie, to series form over at Prime Video. The latter will reunite Flanagan with several of his recurrent collaborators, including The Life of Chuck’s Sloyan and Lillard, who will appear as Carrie’s over-protective Bible-thumping mother, Margaret White, and Principal Grayle, respectively.
