Finally, fans have a window to count down to for the highly anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. Since the show ended its second season two years ago, we’ve all been holding our breath for any positive update about its sequel, especially its premiere. Now, we have that thanks to Crunchyroll, which dropped a first look at the installment via a pretty intense trailer. As you may know, Season 3 of JJK will cover the Culling Game story arc and will exclusively stream weekly on Crunchyroll as it airs in Japan.
The fresh season of Jujutsu Kaisen is scheduled to arrive sometime in January 2026, as seen in the trailer below. Also, in the clip, fans can see Yuji Itadori is haunted by guilt and grief over the lives lost during the Shibuya Incident. Amid his grief, Yuta Okkotsu returns with a clear goal: to hunt down Yuji. The season, which hints at a brutal face-off between Yuta and Yuji, promises to be much darker with higher stakes than before.
Alongside the fantastic news comes an upcoming JJK movie, expected later this year. According to GKIDS, the movie is titled Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution and debuts in North American theaters, beginning December 5, 2025. It will feature the greatest battle in the anime’s history so far, the Shibuya Incident, opening on the gigantic screen for the first time and will be presented in a special compilation format. Additionally, fans will get to see the first two episodes of Season 3’s upcoming arc, “Culling Game Part 1,” ahead of its January 2026 streaming debut.

GKIDS also teased what’s coming in Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, including the Shibuya Incident (which may not be fresh for those who have seen the anime’s second season) and the Culling Game. For the latter, in the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident, ten colonies across Japan are transformed into dens of curses in a plan orchestrated by Noritoshi Kamo, the most wicked sorcerer in history. As the deadly Culling Game starts, Special Grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu is assigned to carry out Yuji’s execution for his perceived crimes.
