Krysten Ritter and Kiefer Sutherland Hunt Down Kiernan Shipka in Trailer for ’80s-Style Revenge Thriller ‘Stone Cold Fox’ [Exclusive]

Throwback vibes, queer love, a deadly game of cat-and-mouse — there’s a lot to love about Collider’s exclusive first look at the trailer for Vertical’s upcoming action thriller, Stone Cold Fox. Starring Kiernan Shipka (Longlegs) as a woman on the run, the pulse-pounding film’s ensemble cast includes a stellar lineup that sees Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Kiefer Sutherland (24), Mishel Prada (Brilliant Minds), and Karen Fukuhara (The Boys) pull together in an epic crime story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Today, we’re thrilled to share the debut teaser for the first of what we think will be many feature-length productions from filmmaker Sophie Tabet, and we are inviting those of you at home to dive in and join us on the journey.

The top of the trailer introduces viewers to Shipka’s latest character, Fox, a adolescent woman who finds love in all the wrong places — specifically with a drug-dealing queenpin known as Goldie (Ritter). With the law on her side in the form of a crooked cop known as Breaker (Sutherland), “consequence” isn’t so much as a word in Goldie’s vocabulary. Unfortunately for the criminal duo, when Fox sees an opportunity to make a break for it, she digs up the heaping piles of cash they’ve been stashing for years and dashes off in hopes of starting a fresh life for herself. But when Goldie and Breaker kidnap Fox’s younger sister, the stakes get raised higher than the adolescent woman thought possible, and she willingly walks right into a trap in hopes of saving the person she loves most in the world.

In a statement paired with today’s electrifying trailer unveiling, Tabet, who also co-penned the script alongside Julia Roth from an original story by Tabet, Roth, and Jonathan Craven, said,
