Foundation Season 3 debuted its first teaser at the start of last month, and now the hit sci-fi series just received its most exhilarating development yet. Apple TV+ has finally debuted the official trailer for the third season of Foundation, which is coming to the streamer on July 11. The first episode of Foundation Season 3 will drop on premiere day, with subsequent episodes being released every week until the finale airs on September 12. The fresh trailer includes footage of returning stars such as Lee Pace and Jared Harris, both of whom will reprise their roles as Hari Seldon and Brother Day in Foundation Season 3. Lou Llobell will also reprise her role as Gaal Dornick in the third chapter of Apple TV+’s epic space saga.
Foundation Season 3 is set 152 years after Season 2, which aired its season finale on Apple TV+ on September 15. The Foundation has become increasingly established well beyond its humble beginnings while the Cleonic Dynasty’s empire has been ground down to a nub. As the Foundation and Cleonic Dynasty form an uneasy alliance, a fresh Warlord known as “The Mule” emerges and poses the biggest threat the universe has ever known, ruling the galaxy with military might and mind control. In addition to the returning stars, Foundation Season 3 will also introduce Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Tómas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, Pilou Asbæk, and Oscar-winner Troy Kotsur. Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann, and Rowena King will also return in Foundation Season 3. The show was written and created by David S. Goyer from Isaac Asimov’s stories.
What’s Streaming on Apple TV+ Right Now?
The most popular show on Apple TV+ at the time of writing is Stick, the original series led by Owen Wilson that just recently managed to dethrone Your Friends & Neighbors. Jon Hamm’s first Apple TV+ series is sitting comfortably ahead of Murderbot, which is halfway through its debut season, and Ted Lasso, which has surged back into streaming charts as fans’ excitement for Season 4 grows. Severance, The Studio, and Shrinking are also in the Apple TV+ top 10. As for movies, Guy Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth is the most popular original movie on Apple TV+ despite needy reviews from critics and audiences.
