“If I can save you from doing what I had to… I’m going into that forest with you.” Samuel Goldwyn Films has revealed an official trailer for the Kiwi neo-western thriller titled Forgive Us All, directed by Jordana Stott making her feature directorial debut. Made down in New Zealand, the novel film is a post-apocalyptic survival tale involving cannibals, of course, because as they always do. Another dull direct-to-video movie to skip right over. A virus has made humans into violent cannibals known as Howlers. A woman sheltering in a mountain cabin must decide whether to assist when a stranger on-the-run from the totalitarian G.M.A. organization arrives on her doorstep. The only escape from them is through the cannibal infested forest… Will they make it out alive? Starring Lily Sullivan, Callan Mulvey, Richard Roxburgh, Lance Giles, Bree Peters, Lawrence Makoare, Dean O’Gorman. Unfortunately this looks over-stylized & especially generic, a derivative cannibal concept mixed up with western tropes. Move along, nothing much to see here.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Jordana Stott’s western thriller Forgive Us All, from YouTube:
This is the story of “redemption in a world gone dark.” This post-apocalyptic New Zealand neo-western thriller imagines a fallen world where trust is dead, the forest is crawling with cannibals, and your only hope might just be a complete stranger. Lily Sullivan plays a lone survivor holed up in a remote mountain cabin, clinging to her own solitude as the world outside descends into blood-soaked chaos. But her delicate sanctuary is shattered when a mysterious man (Lance Giles) stumbles upon her doorstep—pursued by a ruthless, authoritarian gang of outlaws. As the unlikely duo must choose between hiding or hacking their way through a forest teeming with flesh-eating infected, the film asks: how much humanity can you keep when the world has lost its own? Forgive Us All is directed by indie filmmaker Jordana Stott, making her feature directorial debut with this project after one other tiny film previously. The screenplay is written by Lance Giles and Jordana Stott. It’s produced by Jared Connon and Lance Giles. Samuel Goldwyn Films will debut Stott’s Forgive Us All film direct-to-VOD starting on July 11th, 2025 this summer. Anyone into it?
