“I thought – we should start from square one. It’s a puzzle I had to unravel.” Prime Video has revealed the first look teaser trailer for Paul McCartney: Man on the Run, yet another up-to-date Beatles documentary – though this isn’t really about them, it’s about what happened after The Beatles. Man on the Run is a film by acclaimed, Oscar-winning doc director Morgan Neville (of 20 Feet from Stardom, Best of Enemies, Keith Richards: Under the Influence, Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, They’ll Love Me When I’m Dead). Currently set for release in February 2026, after first premiering at the 2025 Telluride Film Festival this fall. After The Beatles break up (in 1970), Paul McCartney forms up-to-date band called Wings with his wife Linda. Archival home footage shows Paul’s life with Linda, who influenced his music, as well as his experiences after The Beatles fame. The doc film follows Wings from formation through 1970s during which Paul wrote hit songs. The description says the film “captures Paul’s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens.” Which sounds like we get to learn about a whole other side of him that we haven’t seen before.
