Netflix has debuted the main offiical trailer for action director Gareth Evans’ up-to-date movie called Havoc, ready for release streaming on Netflix on April 25th later this month. Let’s go! This is his first feature since making Apostle in 2018, and it looks like it’ll be entirely worth the wait. Wish it was playing in theaters! After a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective must fight his way through a criminal underworld to rescue a politician’s estranged son, while unraveling a deep web of corruption & conspiracy that ensnares his entire city. Filmed in Cardiff and around South Wales – though it takes place in some US city. This high octane action thriller stars Tom Hardy as Walker, plus Timothy Olyphant, Forest Whitaker, Luis Guzmán, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Michelle Waterson, along with Sunny Pang and Yeo Yann Yann. This looks as relentlessly brutal & badass as you’d expect from Gareth Evans! Action extravaganza at its finest – with car chases, shootouts, brawls & so much more going down. This is going to kick tons of ass.

Walker (Tom Hardy) is a bruised detective fighting his way through the criminal underworld threatening to engulf his entire city. In the aftermath of a drug deal gone wrong, Walker finds himself with a number of factions on his tail; a vengeful crime syndicate, a crooked politician, as well as his fellow cops. When attempting to rescue the politician’s estranged son, whose involvement in the drug deal starts to unravel a deep web of corruption and conspiracy, he is forced to confront the demons of his past. Havoc is written and directed by Welsh action filmmaker Gareth Evans, director of the films Footsteps, Merantau, The Raid: Redemption, The Raid 2, and Apostle previously, plus episodes of the “Gangs of London” series most recently. It’s produced by Ed Talfan, Gareth Evans, Aram Tertzakian, Tom Hardy. With cinematography by Matt Flannery, and with music by Aria Prayogi.
