After her cutting-edge jokes and high-energy bits earned rave reviews at this year’s ceremony, Nikki Glaser is officially returning as host of the Golden Globes 2026.

CBS announced on Thursday that the award-nominated comedian, who was the first solo female Globes host, will be back for the 83rd annual ceremony next January. “Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,” Glaser said in a statement. “I can’t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus, who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in season four as a Scandinavian pilates instructor with a shadowy past.”

Glaser was tapped for the job as Globes host after dominating at Tom Brady’s live Netflix roast last spring. She recently concluded her global The Good Girl stand-up tour and is currently touring another show, Alive and Unwell, across multiple continents through October 2025. “Nikki Glaser brought a refreshing spark and fearless wit to the Golden Globes stage this year. Her sharp humor and bold presence set the tone for an unforgettable night, making the ceremony feel vibrant and most of all fun,” Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes, said in a statement.

Ahead of her debut as host, Glaser said that she had been tirelessly rehearsing her set across comedy clubs in the weeks leading up to the Globes. “I feel nothing but complete assurance and confidence in me being able to do this,” she told Vanity Fair at the time. “There’s been some jobs I’ve gotten before that I’m like, I hope I can do this, this is a lot of pressure. This, I’m just like, Yeah, they picked the right person. No one’s going to work harder than me at this.”

Following her successful Globes gig, Glaser told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show that she made less money than a previous male host who had publicly divulged his salary. (Glaser is likely referring to Jerrod Carmichael, who revealed his $500,000 salary for the gig during his Globes 2023 monologue.) Although she “would’ve done it for free,” Glaser suggested that a Globes pay raise was expected—particularly after she says Harrison Ford told her backstage, “Next year, ask for more money.”
