We are just two weeks away from 2025, and XO, Kitty fans have one more reason to be excited for January. Netflix has released the first trailer for Season 2, and it makes an crucial revelation for the upcoming season. Noah Centineo (The Recruit) will make a guest appearance! The fresh season hits the streamer on January 16, so fans won’t have too long to wait to see what happens, but let’s not get too ahead of ourselves, because there’s plenty to unpack in the trailer.

The trailer reveals that Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart) is packed and ready for a fresh semester at KISS and wants a fresh start. No meddling, no drama. She just wants to hit the books and possibly discover who her mother really was. It’s Kitty 2.0 time! Of course, drama has a way of finding her. We don’t know the exact details around Peter’s (Centineo) presence in Season 2, but it is electrifying to see him return to the franchise after starring as the romantic lead to Kitty’s sister, Lara Jean Covey (Lana Condor), in the To All The Boys films. In an official statement, Centineo said that coming back to that universe “was a true joy” and that he hopes fans have as much fun with Season 2 as he did.

‘XO, Kitty’ Season 2 Has Moments You “Will Never See Coming”

XO, Kitty was created by Jenny Han, who previously helmed the To All the Boys trilogy. The spin-off is showrun by Jessica O’Toole (Charmed), who also welcomed Centineo and teased what his interaction with Kitty will bring. The showrunner shared:

“It was amazing to watch Anna and Noah together on set; they have so much love and respect for each other and you can feel it in their scenes together. This season of ‘XO, Kitty’ is all about where Kitty is going but also where she came from. And the opportunity to include Peter Kavinsky in that journey was so exciting. I can’t wait for the fans to see Peter interact with some of their favorite ‘XO, Kitty’ characters and to see all of the other juicy surprises we have in store… including some big moments fans have been waiting for and others they will never see coming.”

The cast of XO, Kitty Season 2 also features Minyeong Choi (Dream Palace), Gia Kim (Happy Ending), Sang Heon Lee (Gran Turismo), Anthony Keyvan (Love, Victor), Regan Aliyah (Please Don’t Feed the Children), Peter Thurnwald (Players), Audrey Huynh (Wyrm), Jocelyn Shelfo (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Michael K. Lee (Vanishing), Sasha Bhasin (Brave the Dark), Joshua Lee (Gangnam Project).
