Rihanna’s Sons Riot and RZA Might Be the Best-Dressed Kids in Hollywood

What if the title of best-dressed man of the year went to… two children? On Sunday, Rihanna attended the blue-carpet premiere of the fresh Smurfs movie with two very chic, if minuscule, companions: RZA and Riot, her sons with A$AP Rocky. The Barbadian singer, who lends her voice to Smurfette in the fresh film, wore a Saint Laurent outfit highlighting her baby bump. As for her sons, they had the privilege of sporting outfits by Jonathan Anderson for Dior—miniature versions of the looks shown just a few weeks ago at Paris Fashion Week for the Irish designer’s debut at the helm of the Avenue Montaigne house.

Riot Rose, who celebrates his second birthday in a few weeks, and RZA, who turned three this spring, wore two of the show’s standout looks. For Riot, it was a khaki wool double-breasted jacket with a black lapel inspired by the eminent Bar suit and a white bow tie, matched with elaborate white Bermuda shorts inspired by Christian Dior’s own designs for his women’s collections. His older brother wore a slightly different version of another silhouette from the fashion show—with the khaki shorts becoming pants and, instead of a vest with a scarf sticking out, a pink tie on his white shirt.

As soon as her first child was born, Rihanna embraced the idea of playing with junior wardrobes. “I like to dress him in things that don’t look like baby clothes. I like to push it. I put him in floral stuff. I put him in hot pink. I love that. I think that fluidity in fashion is best. I always shop in the men’s department, you know,” she told the British edition of Vogue.

The two boys appeared slightly grumpy when forced to pose for photographers, but were fascinated by the arrival of a Smurf on the blue carpet.

Did Rihanna and A$AP Rocky choose their children’s outfits themselves? The couple attended the show in Paris last month. While there, the singer took a break with LVMH boss Bernard Arnault—Rihanna created her Fenty Beauty brand within the French luxury group—and his wife, Hélène Mercier.

And after a few days in Paris, it seems Rihanna and A$AP Rocky took to heart the idea of teaching their sons French—as evidenced by this vacation activity book the boys had to keep them entertained in the car.
