Fatima Mohamed Ali on Her Journey as an Actress

Fatima Mohamed Ali, a renowned actress, spoke about her journey in the theater industry. She presented the character of “Zainab” in the play “The Man of the Castle” and the songs added to the drama in the work, and the works that were used were at the heart of the drama. She also presented a sad character in the play “The Necklace and the Bracelet” and the audience interacted with it, and it was steadfast. She sang very sad songs in this play, and other happy songs from wedding songs, and the audience interacted very much with the character of (Hazina). Another character that she presented that was very important was the character of (Ruh) in the play “Ruh”, and in the play “Leave Yourself” she also presented the character of (Kanasa), but it was a character very rich in details, and she sang and asked the audience to sing, and she put a great effort into it, and she sang for (the broom), and she thinks she was the first to sing for the broom, and all respect to the director Gamal Yaqout because he created a very good show and was able to present her in a different way.

Amira Ahmed, an opera singer, shared her experience in musical theater. She said: “I am an opera singer and I sing in a dramatic context, but the experience of the play “Not Romeo and Juliet” is a rich and enjoyable experience because it is my first time acting and expressing the character in musical theatre is not an easy matter, but it requires training and the experience was enjoyable and difficult for me, and the hero in this experience is the work as a whole.”

Mahmoud Ezz El-Din, a musician and actor, discussed the challenges of sound and music in Egyptian theater. He said: “We have many problems with sound and music in Egypt, and most of the problems are due to the lack of financial capabilities as well as the capabilities of the devices. The idea of ​​choosing the soundtrack for a theatrical show, at the beginning, we discuss the awareness of the director and the author together, because sometimes we find modern sounds in the year 800, so we all need to study before starting any work so that we have awareness of everything.”
