Fledgling distributor Row K has closed its second deal since the company was unveiled before the fall festivals, acquiring US rights to Charlie Harper following the romance’s world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
Less than a week after picking up North American rights in TIFF to Gus Van Sant’s Venice world premiere Dead Man’s Wire, the company claimed its latest deal reflected “reflects the momentum we’re building at Row K and our commitment to bringing daring, filmmaker-driven stories to audiences”.
Emilia Jones and Nick Robinson play youngsters navigating their way through love in their 20s. Mac Eldridge and Tom Dean served as co-directors, and the producers include Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, Laura Quicksilver, Patrick Wachsberger, Ashley Stern, and Mallory Edens.
Andrew Kramer of Willkie Farr & Gallagher represented Row K in the negotiation with UTA Independent Film Group, Picture Perfect Federation and Little Ray Media on behalf of the filmmakers.
UTA Independent Film Group represented the US and Picture Perfect Federation has sold most of the world to independent buyers.
No release date was announced at time of writing.
