“How do you know she’s not playing you?” Lionsgate has revealed the official trailer for an action thriller called Alarum, made by director Michael Polish. It’s being dumped in January on VOD and in theaters – which means this is one to avoid. After the CIA discovers the whereabouts of two rogue spies, who have not only gone off-grid but have become husband and wife, all hell is unleashed on their winter honeymoon cabin resort in the woods by a consortium of international spy organizations who are after a “flight pill”, aka a strenuous drive, and all of whom suspect the two may have joined a network of rogue spies known as the Alarum. The action thriller features Scott Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, Willa Fitzgerald, Mike Colter, Isis Valverde, & Joel Cohen. What even is this? So many of these dime-a-dozen junk action films nowadays, I still wonder who even watches them. Nothing about this looks intriguing or unique at all. Next film, please.

Sylvester Stallone, Scott Eastwood, Mike Colter, and Willa Fitzgerald star in this explosive action-thriller about two married spies caught in the crosshairs of an international intelligence network that will stop at nothing to obtain a critical asset. Joe (Eastwood) and Lara (Fitzgerald) are agents living off the grid whose peaceful retreat at a winter resort is blown to shreds when members of the aged guard suspect the two may have joined an elite team of rogue spies, known as Alarum. Alarum is directed by American filmmaker Michael Polish, director of many films including Twin Falls Idaho, Northfork, The Astronaut Farmer, For Lovers Only, Big Sur, Amnesiac, 90 Minutes in Heaven, Hot Bot, Nona, Little Brother of War, Force of Nature, American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally, and Terror on the Prairie previously. The screenplay is written by Alexander Vesha. Produced by Joel Cohen, Randall Emmett, Gwen Osborn. Lionsgate will debut Polish’s Alarum movie in select US theaters + on VOD starting January 17th, 2025 arriving next month.
