In continuation of the activities of the 32nd session of the Citadel International Festival for Music and Singing, two consecutive concerts will be held this evening, Tuesday, August 20, at Al-Mahka Theater.
8:00 PM – Sufism and Modernity
Musician Fathy Salama and singer Mahmoud El-Tohamy will showcase aspects of their artistic project, which bears the title Sufism and Modernity, and mixes verses of spiritual poetry, supplications and Sufi praises with modern musical styles, including Al-Burda, Qamar, Qadi Al-Gharam, Rasmatak Ya Habibi, Tawli Al-Mustafa Amri, Akad Min, Sa’aida Ya Rasool Allah, Ya Huwa, Tala’a Al-Badru ‘Alayna, Ayyam Omri, and others.
10:00 PM – Dina El Wedidi and Her Band
The young artist Dina El Wedidi and her band will meet their audience and sing a number of traditional and popular heritage works mixed with modern music, in addition to a selection of her own works, including Sakun, Tamanseel, Baad El Beban, El Haram, El Seerah, Dawaer, El Urs, El Kaun, Ya Badr Elli Moadi, Ahselak Tebaad, Kter El Waja, Wahda, Tawar Wa Traj’, Ya Janoubi, Allah Baqi, and others.
