Suri Cruise’s Life Away From the Spotlight

While some celebrity children gladly embrace public attention, Suri Cruise—daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise—prefers discretion. The newborn woman, who recently finished her first year at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, leads a life away from the spotlight. When she does get photographed, she tends to make news precisely because of how occasional those occasions are.

The media tends to highlight how much she resembles her mother, with whom she has an incredibly close relationship. Cruise made headlines for surprising Holmes backstage during the final performance of Holmes’s most recent Broadway production, Our Town. She has not been seen publicly with her father in years. When she graduated from New York City’s Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School in June 2024, she did so under the name “Suri Noelle.”

Although Holmes has also kept a low profile since her divorce from Cruise in 2012, she has spoken out on occasion. In December, the Daily Mail claimed that Suri had become a millionaire, thanks to a trust fund from Tom that came into effect after she turned 18. Holmes denied the report: “Completely false. Daily Mail you can stop making stuff up,” she wrote on her social networks over a screenshot of the news.

As a child, Suri was known for her incredible closet, which the fashion media loved to analyze in detail. These days, she seems to bet on a more casual style that doesn’t play into trends. In fact, it seems, she shares some clothes with her also classically chic mother: Both have been photographed wearing the same looks, a proof that they share not only a friendship, but a wardrobe.
