The two greatest partners in anti-crime are back in Disney’s latest trailer for Zootopia 2. Set to vibrantly color cinemas on November 26, the vocal talents of leading stars Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time) and Jason Bateman (Arrested Development) are back in action in the modern trailer that better sets up yet another exhilarating storyline from filmmakers Jared Bush and Byron Howard. With plenty of both familiar and modern faces (and voices), the trailer is bursting at the seams with supporting characters played by Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Idris Elba (The Wire), Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once), and more.
After nearly 10 years away from the huge screen, audiences catch up with Judy Hopps (Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Bateman) in the brand-new trailer for Zootopia 2 as the pair attend a Partners in Crisis counseling meeting. Led by Dr. Fuzzby (Brunson), Judy, Nick, and the rest of the attendees go back to the basics of learning how to work better together. And, they’ll need all the lend a hand they can get, as Chief Bogo (Elba) is sending the pair on their biggest mission yet — on the trail of a venomous snake known as Gary De’Snake (Quan), who is loose in the city. Threatened with being split up, the partners are forced to find a way to bridge their differences once again for the betterment of the metropolis. But, while in sizzling pursuit of their slithering target, they’ll find that the supposed villain might not be all it’s cracked up to be.
Meet the Voices of ‘Zootopia 2’
The talent backing Zootopia 2 is unparalleled, with iconic actors making their voices heard as the lovable critters at the center of the story. Included in the returning cast are the likes of musician Shakira, Bonnie Hunt (Jumanji), Don Lake (Super Dave), Alan Tudyk (Resident Alien), Jenny Slate (Parks and Recreation), Nate Torrence (Supernatural), Tommy Chong (That ‘70s Show), Leah Latham (Big Hero 6), Raymond Persi (Extinct), Maurice LaMarche (Inspector Gadget), Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time), and Mark Rhino Smith (The Enforcer). Meanwhile, joining Brunson and Quan as a fellow newbie will be comedian and FUBAR star, Fortune Feimster.
Considering the first film’s massive box office success and its sweep during award season, where it took home the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, the folks behind Zootopia 2 are undoubtedly looking for another major win and today’s trailer proves they’re on the right track.
