Susanne Bier’s Practical Magic sequel is in pre-production at Warner Bros Leavesden in the UK, with filming expected to start this summer for Warner Bros.
Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are set to return for the follow-up to the 1998 fantasy comedy about two witch sisters who move in together after the death of their parents. Joey King will also reportedly star.
Warner Bros declined Screen’s request for further comment.
Bier previously directed Bullock in Birdbox and Kidman in the Netflix series The Perfect Couple.
Kidman and Bullock are both producing Practical Magic 2 alongside Denise Di Novi.
The screenplay was written by Akiva Goldsman and is based on Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel The Book Of Magic.
Warner Bros is set to release the title on September 18, 2026.
