If movies like Barbarian didn’t already have you living in fear that you’d accidentally book a rental unit for the same weekend as another person or group, the debut trailer for Bone Lake should do the trick. It’s a champagne problem kind of worst fear for the two couples at the center of the movie, who have each zipped off to their respective glamorous getaways only to discover that the mansion has been double-booked. Helmed by Mercedes Bryce Morgan (Spoonful of Sugar), the twisted tale is one overflowing with sexual tension, filled with lies and deceit, and featuring good-looking people behaving badly. With a leading ensemble that features Maddie Hasson (Elevation), Marco Pigossi (Gen V), Alex Roe (The Fugitives), and Andra Nechita (Cats Dancing on Jupiter), the trailer previews the tumultuous trip that lies ahead for audiences when the movie arrives in cinemas later this year.

Setting the scene, the trailer opens with a ponderous pan of the gorgeous lake that surrounds the property at the center of the story. We then meet Sage (Hasson) and Diego (Pigossi), as well as Will (Roe) and Cin (Nechita), each of whom is shocked upon discovering that the sprawling estate has been booked by the other couple. Given that there’s plenty of space for everyone to unwind, they decide to share the listing, but, as the trailer reveals, the couples don’t spend much time away from one another. What unravels next is a bloody mess of scandals, hidden emotions, and even murderous tendencies as all four characters fight to survive.

Bone Lake is just one of the many upcoming projects to hail from Bleecker Street. The production studio has quite a stacked lineup in front of it, with titles including the Josh O’Connor (Challengers) and Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus)-led Rebuilding set for an arrival this fall, while audiences are already bracing themselves to turn the dial up to 11 all over again this summer when Spinal Tap II: The End Continues takes center stage.

Meet the Rest of the Team Behind ‘Bone Lake’

Joining Morgan on the artistic side of things is Joshua Friedlander, who penned the screenplay, while Eliane Reis (All the Things I’ve Got to Remember) and Clayton Spencer (Into the Shadows) fill out the ensemble cast.
