Chris Hemsworth will always be known for his role as Thor in the MCU, but just a few years ago, he also starred in a documentary series that’s coming back in a massive way. National Geographic has unveiled the first trailer for Limitless: Live Better Now, the continuation of Hemsworth’s 2022 series that shows the star pushing himself past his boundaries for the sake of bettering his physical health. The recent show aims to do something a little different, though. Hemsworth is widely viewed as one of the fittest celebrities on the planet — he’s tested his body, now it’s time to test his mind. The first trailer for Limitless: Live Better Now sees Hemsworth in a host of uncomfortable situations, all for the sake of improving his mental health and focus.
The thrilling three-part series comes from Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa, Jane Root’s Nutopia, and Chris Hemsworth and Ben Grayson’s Wild State. Hemsworth will face off against some of the most grueling challenges the universe has to offer: pain, fear, and cognitive decline. The series was filmed across six countries throughout the last two years, and it will show Hemsworth playing the drums at an Ed Sheeran concert in front of 70,000 fans, scaling a 600-foot rock climbing wall in the Swiss Alps, and taking part in South Korean Special Forces training, which consists of electrocution and pepper spray. He will endure chronic pain with the hope that his body responds to assist him live a healthier, happier life, possibly even inspiring some viewers to do the same along the way.
Chris Hemsworth Is Playing Thor One More Time
Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as Thor one final time in Avengers: Doomsday, which has been set for release on December 18, 2026. Hemsworth was the first name announced for the film, but he didn’t spend that long on set. This has prompted some fans to speculate about a potential smaller role for him in Doomsday, perhaps one similar to Loki in Infinity War. Killing a beloved character like Thor would certainly assist establish stakes, but we’re not sure our hearts could take it.
Limitless: Live Better Now begins streaming on August 15 on Disney+ and Hulu, and it will air on National Geographic 10 days later on August 25. Check out the recent trailer above and stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the show.
