“Stop it, stop it!” Screambox has unveiled the official trailer for an indie horror titled Yellow Eyes, ready to watch via streaming starting next week. A man falls under the grip of a sinister entity after uncovering a cursed idol. Produced by filmmaker Joe Swanberg, who has been missing for a while from the indie scene. Is he finally making a comeback? In Yellow Eyes, a adolescent couple inherits a house containing a mysterious relic that hosts the spirit of a powerful demon, and the wife of the man it possesses must find an exorcist to save him. “He can see now…” With Brad slipping further away, Julia must fight to save the man she loves & stop an insatiable evil that turns desire into addiction and demands blood to survive… Starring Nena Martins, Michael Kunicki, Jimmy Chung, Margo O’Connell, and DeVaughn Loman. This freaky trailer has some eerie Evil Dead vibes, similar to the very first film, with gritty indie filmmaking & freaky occurrences.

After inheriting his behind schedule uncle’s deteriorating home, Brad and his wife Julia discover an old demonic idol concealed within its walls. What initially appears to be a strange, potentially valuable artifact soon exerts a seductive influence over Brad, transforming his behavior as his eyes turn an unnatural yellow and a mysterious black oil appears. When the idol’s influence spreads to those around them, Julia searches desperately for an explanation, only to discover that husband is becoming the host for an old entity that feeds on humanity’s darkest desires. With Brad slipping further away, Julia must fight to save the man she loves and stop an insatiable evil that turns desire into addiction and demands blood to survive…
Yellow Eyes is directed by genre producer Jesse Korman, making his feature directorial debut after one other miniature film before, and lots of producing work including on the films All You Need Is Blood and Pretty Thing most recently. The screenplay is written by Mickey Solis. Produced by fellow filmmaker Joe Swanberg and Ben Gojer. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Screambox releases Korman’s Yellow Eyes streaming on Screambox starting August 18th, 2026 coming soon. 😱 Looks scary?
