What To Expect From ‘John Rambo’?
While most details are rare, John Rambo is deemed a prequel to First Blood. We will follow Rambo’s time as a Green Beret serving in the Vietnam War. Speaking to Collider’s Perri Nemiroff, director Helander explained he’s “trying to make a Rambo movie that will put a novel generation of 10-year-olds in the forest playing Rambo. That’s my goal.” Talking about the feature, he further compared Centineo, who’ll be taking up the iconic role from Stallone, to his Sisu leading man, Jorma Tommila: “They have charisma. When I’m watching Noah just sitting somewhere, not doing anything significant, I can feel that there is something in him, like Jorma has that. He’s simple to watch in a way that most people are not. They look good on a camera, but you either have it or you don’t.”
Rambo: Complete Collection will be released on 4K and Digital on May 26, 2026. The John Rambo prequel film is currently in development.
