UK sales agent WestEnd Films has boarded Woody Allen’s untitled next feature, which starts shooting in Madrid on October 5.
The project will be introduced to buyers at next month’s American Film Market (AFM).
Written and directed by Allen, the contemporary comedy stars New Zealand actor Marton Csokas and Girls star Jemima Kirke alongside Jakob Oftebro, Peter Vives and Alexi Wasser.
Madrid-based Wanda Vision and Allen’s production banner, Gravier Productions, are producing the title alongside Puerto Rico-headquartered 3SIX9 Studios.
The English-language project will be the third Allen has shot in Spain, after Vicky Cristina Barcelona in 2008 and 2020’s Rifkin’s Festival, and his first in Madrid.
The film continues WestEnd’s long-standing partnership with Gravier Productions. WestEnd handled world sales on Allen’s Venice 2023 premiere, Coup De Chance and also represents a library of 25 Allen titles, including Midnight In Paris, Match Point and Blue Jasmine.
