“Have fun. Learn new things. You can’t stay cooped up here with Estela.” Netflix has debuted the official trailer for a Chilean film titled Swim to Me, also known as Limpia in Spanish (which translates directly to Clean). The film is inspired by Alia Trabucco’s best-selling novel of the same name, following the story of Estela, a woman from rural Chile, who embarks on a journey to Santiago, leaving her family behind to work as a maid for an affluent household. Netflix will release it globally in October for streaming at home. Swim To Me is a gripping family drama that tells the story of the intense relationship between Estela, a domestic worker, and the six-year-old girl she takes care of day and night. As their bond grows stronger, they build a secret, dependent world that will lead them to an inevitable outcome. This stars María Paz Grandjean, Rosa Puga, Ignacia Baeza, Benjamin Westfall, and Rodrigo Palacios. It looks okay – worth a watch.

Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Dominga Sotomayor’s film Swim to Me, from Netflix’s YouTube:
