“We are not ready for this…” Quiver Distribution has revealed the official trailer for an indie sci-fi thriller film titled The Outer Threat, marking the feature directorial debut of Canadian producer William Woods. The film is ready for viewing on VOD starting in July this summer, following up on the UFO craze ongoing with Disclosure Day. Daniel, an astrophysicist, discovers alien life. Of course! It’s real! They are definitely out there… After alerting his team, he finds himself and his family being chased by a mysterious pursuer. Their escape for their lives tests the limits between cosmic truth and paranoia. The journey becomes more challenging over time, until there is no clear distinction between scientific discovery and humanity’s fear, culminating in a dramatic confrontation that tests knowledge of science, comprehension, and survival. The film stars Constance Wu, Mark O’Brien, and William Fichtner. This looks almost exactly like the plot of Disclosure Day – a family goes on the run to try and get the truth out about aliens before some shadowy government force takes them out. Actually this might turn out even more intriguing than Spielberg’s movie.
