In the last few years, Hollywood has been gripped by popcorn bucket mania. Collectible receptacles have been all the rage – this year alone has brought a giant snack-storing AT-AT for The Mandalorian And Grogu, a substantial plastic whale for Whalefall, and we’re eagerly awaiting the colossal Godzilla statue launching soon for Godzilla Minus Zero. But arguably, this level of fervour truly began in 2024 with Dune: Part Two, and the delightfully obscene ‘sandworm’ bucket that arrived alongside it – featuring a mysterious toothy Shai-Hulud maw, which some Harkonnen-level oddballs considered putting more than just their hand in.

Well, buckle up, because the Dune: Part Three popcorn buckets have been unveiled – and there’s another sandworm design which is twice the fun.

Yes, the Part Three bucket has two holes this time – meaning cinemagoers can share the sandworm fun with a friend. While watching Denis Villeneuve’s epic sci-fi climax, obviously. But that’s not all – there are other designs too. An alternative bucket only features one sandworm entrance, but does come with a functional ‘thumper’ if you want to add some rhythmic sensation to your… popcorn eating. Oh, and there’s one which is entirely sandworm-free, instead featuring the sarcophagus-like object seen with Robert Pattinson’s Scytale in the trailer. What a time to be alive.

So there we have it – your Dune: Part Three popcorn bucket questions have been answered, and maybe many more posed too. Just, be careful who you sit next to in the movie, ok? Dune: Part Three arrives on December 18.
